Mando’s N-1 Starfighter
Mando’s N-1 Starfighter is a custom LEGO MOC based on Din Djarin’s rebuilt Naboo fighter from The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian. The stripped-back hull and exposed engines give the elegant prequel-era ship a rougher, more mechanical character. This compact, swooshable model captures that distinctive silhouette, with a detailed cockpit and interchangeable options for Grogu or an astromech droid.

Design
My original version was one of the first MOCs of Mando’s N-1, released just days after the ship debuted in The Book of Boba Fett. Returning to the design gave me the opportunity to refine nearly every area, from the overall proportions to the details inside the cockpit. The ship’s character comes from the combination of its sleek Naboo silhouette and the exposed machinery of Peli Motto’s rebuild. Both needed to come through in the LEGO model.
The rebuilt model is four studs narrower and four studs longer, with a smoother fuselage and more accurate wing shape and angle. Those changes give the ship a longer, leaner profile while preserving the distinctive lines of the original N-1. Over 100 additional parts bring more detail and functionality throughout the build.
Inside the cockpit, adjustable flight controls and a more accurate pilot’s seat give Mando a properly equipped place to fly. A removable front storage compartment has room for his rifle, pistol, Beskar bars, credits, and other small gear. Behind the cockpit, an interchangeable droid socket and canopy let the model accommodate an astromech or Grogu. The finished ship stays compact and sturdy enough to handle and swoosh, with details to explore when it’s back on the ground.
