The Breon Dayvan — also known as the Breon HOY-39 — is a modest ship featured in Star Wars: Andor, which Cassian Andor “borrows” several times while on his journey to becoming a Rebel operative.

Origin, Design, and Specs
This starship was produced by Koensayr Manufacturing and has a very unique rounded, up-sloped front; a cargo hold; and a rear that’s similar to that of a Firespray-class starship. It has 2 sets of engines — large ion engines, similar to a Y-wing, and smaller maneuvering thrusters. The armament consists of a small twin laser cannon atop the cockpit and twin rotating blaster cannons mounted on the rear, similar to the Firespray-class starship.
Creating the Breon Dayvan in Lego
I believe that I’m the first and only person to recreate this great ship in LEGO form. The biggest challenge was designing the front to have both a curve and an up-slope, but I succeeded after several weeks of iterations. The cockpit features an adjustable pilot seat with flight controls and a clip for a minifig blaster. I recreated the Corellian-style hatch between the cockpit and the cargo hold, which is similar to what’s seen on the Millennium Falcon. The cargo hold is large enough to sit one minifig and my custom B2-EMO droid. The rear of the ship is similar to the LEGO versions of the Firespray ship that Jango and Boba Fett owned, along with the rotating blaster cannons. I’ve also significantly modified a LEGO Y-wing ion engine and recreated the maneuvering thrusters. The landing gear can easily be removed, so you can take it from a display and swoosh it around.

Role in Star Wars: Andor
“It’s got a few kinks, but it’s a good old ship”
— Pegla, human guard at Zorby’s Shiplot on Ferrix
Cassian Andor chose this ship because it was old and inconspicuous, making it an ideal spy ship. It first appears in the Andor series premier “Kassa”, where Cassian “borrows” the ship from Zorby’s Shipyard on Ferrix to travel to Morlana One to search for his sister. Later, in the Season 1 finale “Rix Road”, it’s used to escape with Jezzi, Bix, B2-EMO, Brasso, and Wilmon. The Breon Dayvan matches Cassian’s personality of quiet defiance and enables his journey from scavenger to insurgent operative, and he presumably relies on the ship between Seasons 1 and 2. The Breon Dayvan is last seen in the Andor Season 2 episode “Sagrona Teema”, where it provides Cassian with shelter while he’s being held captive on a jungle planet.
