Docking Bay 4

Original Star Wars Diorama, 2024-2025

Every ship that lands on Tatooine needs somewhere to put down. This is one of those places.

Docking Bay 4 is a fictitious Mos Eisley spaceport drawn from three references: Docking Bay 94 from A New Hope, Docking Bay 35 from The Mandalorian, and an unnamed bay from Star Wars Outlaws. It’s half-round, two stories, and built to display ships at a scale that actually fits on a shelf. The roof and entire second floor are removable, revealing a fully decorated interior underneath.

The first floor has an entrance with an arcade game just inside the door, a staircase up, a shop, and storage. The second floor splits into guest quarters on the left, with a lounge, bedroom, and refresher, and the owner’s quarters on the right, with a kitchen styled after the Lars family homestead, a bedroom, and a refresher. Someone lives here and has made it comfortable, which is more than you can say for most of Tatooine.

The ship currently docked is the BUT-Yt, the 50th ship in my Ugly series, in the process of being unloaded and refueled. At the bay entrance, two pilots are in conversation with a Pyke Syndicate broker. Nearby, a Jawa merchant is having a difficult interaction with a pair of thugs.
